Randolph County (N.C.) commissioners agreed to fund upgrades to the Sheriff’s fleet management garage to meet state safety and code regulations, the Courier-Tribune reported.

Commissioners approved the use of more than $50,000 to upgrade the building on the condition that the Sheriff applies for federal drug forfeiture money to pay back the county. The Sheriff recently began using a storage building for maintenance work, but it was shut down due to safety issues.
