The Kent County Board of Commissioners approved spending $3.5 million on a new fleet services building. The 16,100-sq.-ft. building will replace the current 6,500-sq.ft. facility which has been used since the 1950s, when the fleet only included about 35 vehicles, reported MLive. Construction is expected to take 18 months beginning this summer.

According to the Kent County website, Fleet Services maintains 208 fleet vehicles for all county departments except the Drain Commission, Aeronautics, and the Public Works Department.
