Delta Scientific, manufacturer of counterterrorist vehicle control systems, announced that its new bolt-down DSC7090 beam barricade has passed its crash test, garnering an ASTM M30/P1 rating. That means the DSC7090 will stop a 15,000-pound truck going 30 mph with negative 6.3 feet of penetration.

According to the company, its raising in only five seconds and lowering in merely two seconds yields a fast cycle rate of over 100 vehicles in and out per hour, making the DSC7090 ideal for higher traffic and population locations. The dual beam design provides coverage of 12 to 24 feet of roadway with a full 90-degree opening.
