Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America (MCFA) announced that the Jungheinrich ETV216i — the world’s first reach truck with fully integrated lithium-ion battery — is now available for the North American market.

Compared to conventional reach trucks, the ETV 216i achieves significantly increased productivity. The fully integrated lithium-ion battery features a longer service life, maintenance-free operation, and 24/7 truck availability with opportunity charging. A fully-integrated lithium-ion battery reduces the size of the battery compartment to create more space in the operator compartment. In addition to short charging times and increased energy efficiency, the ETV 216i features great residual capacities and 23% faster lift speeds than the previous generation of Jungheinrich lead-acid models.
