Morgan County, Ga., Fire and Rescue has received a federal surplus military truck and generator worth $132,000 for just $200, the Morgan County Citizen reported. The truck will replace one of the fleet’s “knocker” trucks.

The 1995 light military transport vehicle has 4,200 miles on it and must be de-militarized and transformed for use by the fire department. A pre-formed water truck and pump will provide the extinguishment capabilities, and storage compartments will be added.
