Eight City of Augusta, Ga., fleet vehicles were totaled last week following heavy rains and flood that poured into the area where 70 vehicles were parked outside the fleet maintenance shop, WJBF reported. The eight cars belonged to the Marshal’s Office and the Sheriff’s Office and are valued at approximately $37,500. Another 13 cars have water damage and are being inspected.

During the flooding, fleet and Marshal’s Office staff members worked to move vehicles out of the flood zone.
