Armored vehicle manufacturer The Armored Group (TAG) has entered the vessel market with a new line of armored boats for maritime law enforcement, as well as those that need ultra-fast, multi-role utility and patrol vessels.

The first of several new TAG marine vessels is the I 9.5 N (Navy) Rigid Inflatable Boat. The inshore vessel is a smaller, versatile, agile, and easily transportable by fixed or rotary-wing airlift. It is manufactured to meet the mission-specific requirements of the end user and designed for shore-based and ship-board operations.

The boat is approximately 31 feet long, with a 10-foot beam. It weighs about 320 lbs. and features a maximum payload of about 3,196 lbs. It has a diesel or gasoline option, features a 205-gallon fuel tank, and runs on 700 hp.
