Hellwig Suspension Products released a new adjustable rear sway bar for the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1/2-ton pickup trucks, tightening up driving dynamics and providing more control for the driver, especially when towing and hauling, according to the manufacturer.

Since the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra entered the light-duty truck scene in the late 1990s, they have been a top choice for drivers looking for a work truck, family hauler, and tow rig all rolled into one vehicle. The 2019 iterations continue this rich legacy with robust powerplant options and a versatile chassis, but do not include a sway bar from the factory as part of its stock suspension package, noted Hellwig.

To enhance vehicle performance and comfort, Hellwig forged its Silverado/Sierra 1500 rear sway bar (P/N 7780) from solid 1 1/8-inch diameter heat treated 4140 Chromoly steel bar stock and features Hellwig’s signature “Hammertone” powder coat to prevent corrosion and wear under even the toughest conditions.

For owners of lifted Silverados and Sierras, Hellwig also offers a sway bar (P/N 7784) for trucks with a two to four-inch lift and fits both two and four-wheel drive configurations. The sway bars include polyurethane bushings that allow for smooth, squeak-free operation and the included adjustable end links allow for easy integration for both the factory components and aftermarket suspension setups.
