Terramac has enhanced its RT6 carrier model to improve performance, operator comfort, and serviceability.

New 2019 Terramac RT6 carrier models will come equipped with a Cummins B4.5 Performance Series (Tier 4 compliant) engine. The new engine will provide the RT6 with more power and torque while reducing emissions and lowering fuel consumption. The Cummins Guidanz technology also streamlines the diagnostic and repair process for dealer technicians to ensure RT6 carriers are well maintained and running properly. The gradeability on the RT6 was improved to feature an increased slope capability of 24 to 30 degrees, and a new proportional dump valve control was installed to provide operators greater control and smoother operation when dumping materials. Front and rear pull plates have become standardized for increased flexibility in towing and recovery.

To address operator comfort, the Terramac RT6 was upgraded to a dual joystick for relaxed steering and increased control. The addition of an electronic slope indicator was placed on the RT6 to increase safety by alerting operators to potentially unsafe conditions, and noise level have been reduced by 3 dBa.

Both the dog house and electrical service center on new RT6 models have been redesigned. The doghouse redesign improves access to fuel filters, fluids, and batteries. The electrical service center was expanded to include the main engine fuses and relays, jump start posts, battery disconnect, diesel exhaust fluid tank, and air filter.
