The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has partnered with YourMechanic as of March 19. The partnership establishes Goodyear and its nationwide network of dealers as a tires and installation provider to YourMechanic’s mobility and fleet clients nationwide.

Fleets of any size and vocational will be able to benefit from the new fleet service partnership. "Our capacity is elastic, constantly scaling based on fleet size, " Paul Scola, CRO for YourMechanic told Work Truck in an interview. "The platform is agile and continuously matching mechanics to market needs on a nationwide basis."

YourMechanic provides mobile repair, maintenance, inspection, and reconditioning services directly to consumers via its website and to commercial fleets and mobility clients.

"Fleet driver safety is a top priority for us and for fleet managers," Scola added. "Our platform gives fleet managers the tools and data they need to maintain vehicle compliance standards and ensure driver safety."

The addition of Goodyear and its installer network will enable YourMechanic to offer an automotive service solution for vehicle repair and maintenance. Currently, YourMechanic works with other premium partners including Castrol, O'Reilly, and Worldpac.

“Drivers want efficiency and convenience as they seek optimal vehicle performance and YourMechanic with its technology-enabled service model delivers on those consumer demands,” said Mike Dauberman, chief digital officer, Goodyear.  “Working with YourMechanic and other industry disruptors is an extension of Goodyear’s 120-year heritage of innovation.”

YourMechanic joins Goodyear’s global innovation network that includes numerous customers, suppliers and start-up businesses all in the name of making the tire buying process easier.

“Our goal is to provide a comprehensive solution for all auto care, for both shared and personal mobility,” said Anthony Rodio, CEO, YourMechanic. “We believe this partnership is an important step toward realizing that vision.”
