Fla. City Switches to Leased Vehicles

The City of Madeira Beach, Fla., will begin leasing its vehicles in an effort to modernize the fleet and save money. The plan would gradually replace 17 existing city-owned vehicles with leased inventory from Enterprise Fleet Management, Tampa Bay Newspapers reported.

When all vehicles are switched to the leasing plan, the city to pay $106,000 a year in lease payments for all 17 vehicles compared to its typical cost of $150,000 a year to replace four trucks.
