The Lincoln County (Wis.) Sheriff’s Office has completed the deployment of 17 patrol cars assigned to deputies as part of its new take-home car program, MerrillFotoNews reported.
One of the key reasons the county began this program was to help with recruiting. Its finance director said the program comes at minimal expense to the county, although the true fiscal impact won’t be known until the new vehicle replacement schedule is determined.
