The semi-rugged Durabook S14I is ideal for demanding markets like public safety, government, military, and field service, in applications like asset management, diagnostics, and maintenance. The S14I includes a category-first 4-foot drop rating — a 33% improvement over typical semi-rugged computers. It is the first in its class to offer an ingress protection rating of 53 (IP53), making it suitable for use in locations where rain or dust may be a regular occurrence. The device also has an operational range of -4°F – 140°F, allowing for use in a wide range of environments.

Mobile workers need devices that allow them to work without compromise, and the Durabook S14I is exactly that product. The 14-inch display offers Stealth and Night Vision modes. DynaVue technology creates increased clarity and viewability in challenging lighting conditions without sacrificing battery life, allowing mobile workers to maintain productivity. The Durabook can be used with a stylus, for applications like signature capture; with a glove, so field workers can interact with the S14I without modifying their workflow; in the rain without concern of false readings or unpredictable responses; or with a finger using the 10-point multi-touch capacitive display.

The S14I features an integrated carrying handle for ease of transport, a waterproof keyboard, a fingerprint scanner, a quick-release hard drive, and a hot-swappable/bridge battery design, allowing for non-stop work in the field.
