Chicago Pneumatic Power Technique (CP) introduced the CPS 1800 JD8 T4F portable compressor, a twin single-stage, oil-injected, rotary screw type compressor that can work in a wide range of applications.

Powered by a liquid-cooled, six-cylinder turbocharged diesel John Deere 525-hp engine, the unit has an engine starting capacity at 14 degrees F without the addition of cold start options.

A 240-gallon fuel tank enables operation for over eight hours at full load and comes standard with a low fuel shutdown at 5% empty. Additionally, FuelXpert reduces fuel consumption up to 10% at 75% load.

The CPS 1800 has three settings for actual free air delivery. At 100 psi, the actual free air delivery is 1,800 cfm, at 150 psi it is 1,700 cfm, and at 200 psi it is 1,400 psi. The controller allows the machine to match airflow with desired operating pressure to maximize output and keeps the engine as fuel efficient as possible.

Other features include a spillage-free containment frame protecting the environment and a heavy-duty tandem dual axle trailer with 17.5-inch tires balancing the compressor for safer towing. It features high ground clearance for rough site and road conditions.

The unit’s cooling system consists of an integrated side-by-side aluminium oil cooler with axial fan for optimum cooling. Designed for higher maximum working pressure, the air and oil separator is equipped with a high pressure sealed and certified safety valve and automatic blow-down valve. Maintenance is simple with wide service doors to all components from both sides of the machine.
