The City of Lockport, N.Y., is installing telematics devices on 105 of its 110 vehicles in an attempt to find efficiencies and cost savings, Union-Sun & Journal reported.

The units come from Verizon and cost $4,415 for hardware and installation, and $2,430 monthly. City officials noted they are interested in tracking idling, high-speed braking, and location.
