Fleet FAQ? Public Fleet Tracking and Telematics

Q. Does routing include turn-by-turn directions? Specifically with avoiding road closures and traffic jams?

A. Yes, routing includes turn-by-turn navigation, and is designed to cope with any last-minute variables. Routes are automatically optimized as jobs are created, and can be reoptimized with dynamic routing. Traffic layers can be added to maps to route around highly congested areas, including heavy traffic areas or areas with poor road conditions. Verizon Connect has been shown that it can shave up to 10% off vehicle mileage, according to a 2015 Frost & Sullivan study.
