Fleet FAQ? Public Fleet Tracking and Telematics

Q. Can adjustments be made to the engine while the vehicle is in motion to maximize miles per gallon?

A. No, unfortunately, physical adjustments to the engine while it is in motion are not possible. What is possible, however, is giving the driver near real-time feedback with in-cabin alerts when they’ve engaged in a fuel-wasting driving behavior. In addition, game-like leaderboards can turn the drive for maximum fuel efficiency into a company-wide game that can be rewarded in a public way of the fleet manager’s choosing to further motivate fuel-saving behavior.
