Kubota Tractor Corporation's KX033-4 compact excavator with extendable dipper arm weighs in as a three-ton class machine, yet boasts the reach and dig depth of a heavier weight class. Ideal for hard-to-reach areas, the KX033-4’s optional extendable dipper arm can be extended up to 31 inches. Its capabilities include a digging depth of 12 feet, 2 inches and a digging reach of 18 feet, 3 inches.

The KX033-4 is powered by Kubota’s direct injection diesel engine. Its auto-downshift feature automatically downshifts from high to low, depending on traction and terrain, allowing smoother operation when dozing and turning. When the auto idling system is engaged and control levers are in neutral for more than four seconds, the engine will automatically idle; if the operator moves any lever, the RPM immediately returns. The standard auto idling systems lowers noise, exhaust emissions, and also reduces operating cost and fuel consumption, according to Kubota.

A spacious interior is designed with a larger entrance, more leg room, and enhanced ergonomics.

The KX033-4’s engine components are consolidated onto one side for easy access for inspections, and repairs. In addition, the rear and right side hoods are made of durable steel panels and open fully for quick inspection and routine maintenance. Positioning the panel inside the counterweight’s edge gives it added protection.
