The Cat MH3027 is Caterpillar’s fourth addition to the brand’s new series of wheeled material handlers in the greater than 25-metric-ton size class.

The 68,832-lb. material handler comes equipped with a 173-hp Tier 4 final emissions compliant Cat C7.1 ACERT engine. It comes in multiple configurations that specialize in different kinds of handling.

Its first configuration, waste handling, features a straight stick while its second configuration meant for scrap handling features a drop nose stick. Both configurations come with an onboard intelligent load-sensing hydraulic system that reduces fuel burn by delivering power only when it’s needed.

The MH3027 features joystick steering controls which help improve jobsite visibility by removing the need for a large steering wheel. The cab’s 18-foot reach further enhances the operator’s jobsite visibility.

The vehicle’s true four-wheel drive, variable displacement hydraulic motor, and two-speed transmission provides excellent maneuverability and control in whatever kind of terrain a worksite might present.
