The new Trikke "Defender" is Trikke Tech's first vehicle designed specifically for law enforcement and security. Earlier models of Trikke patrol vehicles have been successfully deployed by law enforcement agencies since 2010. The new Defender features full suspension, a more tactical and rugged frame construction, and 50% more power and speed than earlier models. It has a top speed of 23 mph (which can be limited) and a range of up to 35 miles per charge. Weighing 70 pounds, the unit can be folded quickly for transport, and the lithium-ion battery can be swapped out for a fresh one in seconds. It's designed and built in Buellton, Calif.
