Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas introduced the new 9A Series zero swing excavator. The new R25Z-9A provides operators with new features and benefits compared to its prior model, including a certified Interim Tier 4 engine upgrade and improved hydraulics.

The excavator is ideal for confined job sites with applications ranging from landscape/hardscaping and light construction to light demolition, and road and utility work, according to the company.

The 5,730lb R25Z-9 is powered by a 23 hp Interim Tier 4, Mitsubishi S3L2 engine. The machine boasts a dig depth of 7 feet 11 inches, bucket digging force of 4,740 lbf. and bucket capacity of .09 cubic yards. A dozer blade comes standard for light grading, backfilling, and for stability while excavating.

The R25Z-9A offers a tail swing radius of 2 feet 7 inches and its compact size and low weight allows the R25Z-9A to be towable by a pickup.

The cabin features tubing for safety and storage. The operator's station is customizable with operating preferences to fit individual needs. Options include an adjustable seat and wrist rest settings, foldable pedals that provide increased floor space and left and right control levers.

Hyundai improved the heavy-duty upper frame to absorb high stress loads while the X-leg center frame and reinforced box section track frame provide strength and a long service life.

The company designed all components for easy access and maintenance. It comes with Hyundai’s total coverage warranty, which includes a three-year, 3,000-hour full machine warranty as well as a five-year, 10,000-hour structural warranty.
