Magneti Marelli offers its Flex vehicle diagnostic tool. The flex is equipped with an oscilloscope and multimeter to help vehicle technicians diagnose problems. The company said this device was chosen by the Chrysler Academy for use in every Chrysler Training Center in the U.S.

The device features a built-in, two-channel, high-speed oscilloscope and multimeter. It’s J2534-1 and J2534-2 compliant. It can provide full diagnostics, including parameters, statuses, error codes, activations, encoding of components, technical schematics, reports, and can record tests. It can diagnose issues with domestic, European, and Asian vehicle makes and models. The device is shock resistant, dust resistant, and moisture resistant, according to the company.

The device also offers a number of special features, including Easy Fix, which provides wiring diagrams and a dynamic service manual, that guides a user to a solution; OK Functions, which allow a user to select a task (TPMS re-learn, steering wheel reset, etc.) the tool will perform automatically; and Plus +, which provides reference data to enable technicians to immediately compare their results with the correct parameters.

The Flex can connect to a PC via USB, Bluetooth, or WiFi. The Flex tester is VCI-PC ready or comes stand-alone.
