Ideal for earthmoving, road building, and site prepping, John Deere’s 850K crawler dozer comes with an Interim Tier 4 (IT4) engine and dual-path hydrostatics.

The John Deere PowerTech 6.8L IT4 diesel motor provides either 187 hp or 205 hp at 1,800 rpm, depending on machine configuration. The IT4-certified engine also meets the latest emissions regulations.

The engine offers operation on slopes up to 45 degrees. A hydraulically driven cool-on-demand fan operates only as needed, decreasing cab and bystander noise levels and cutting fuel consumption.

The engine’s diesel particulate filters are cleaned automatically during routine operation, which increases overall machine productivity as there is no need to idle down for maintenance.
