Genesis has revealed its North American 2019 G70 luxury sedan as its entry in the competitive entry-level luxury segment and its fourth vehicle following its spin-off from Hyundai.

The G70 joins the G80, G80 Sport, and G90 sedans. Genesis first showed the North American sedan at the New York International Auto Show on Wednesday. The company showed the Korean G70 in September.

The North American G70 will go on sale this summer with few changes from the Korean-spec model.

It will offer two engines, including a 3.3-liter V-6 gasoline turbo or 2.0-liter inline-four gasoline turbo. Genesis won't offer the 2.2-liter inline-four diesel that's available in Korea. The V-6 engine will deliver power via an eight-speed automatic transmission to an all-wheel drivetrain. The four-cylinder engine will offer an optional six-speed manual (2.0T) and rear-wheel drive.

The RWD G70 is expected to deliver 30 miles per gallon on the highway and 22 mpg in the city, while the AWD G70 should deliver 25 mpg on the highway and 18 mpg in the city.

Genesis will offer a G70 Sport trim grade.
