The Gaston County (N.C.) Board of Commissioners awarded a bid for up to $3.9 million to U.S. Bancorp for the lease and finance of rolling stock and equipment. According to city documents, the bid includes vehicles for County Police, the Sheriff’s Department, Building Inspections, Facilities Management, and Rescue Squads.

Generally, county vehicles are replaced after about 150,000 miles, reports the Gaston Gazette. These vehicles will be purchased from multiple dealers, and some of the retired vehicles and equipment will be auctioned off. A total of 37 vehicles and one bulldozer will be purchased with these funds.
