The Williamsburg, S.C., County council voted to enter into contract with Enterprise Fleet Management — upon review and final recommendation by the county’s legal counsel — for new vehicles, SC Now reported.

Under the agreement with Enterprise, Williamsburg County will receive 20 new vehicles every year for the next five years. The Sheriff’s Department is set to receive the first 20 vehicles.

Currently, about 38% of the county fleet is more than 10 years old, and the average maintenance cost is $78 per month for each vehicle.
