The Maryland State Highway Administration has purchased nine new quad-axle trucks for snow season — these trucks can carry more than double the amount of salt and 40 more gallons of fuel than current vehicles, The Star Democrat reported.
The trucks are helpful for clearing roads in rural Maryland, where there are long stretches of road and fewer places to refill on fuel. This will allow for longer, more efficient routes.
