Sublette County, Wyo., has fired an employee accused of using fleet vehicles and equipment for personal use. Charges have been filed against the county’s waste management lead operator, who was appointed to the position after the department’s former supervisor was sentenced for similar crimes.

The operator took a truck, gooseneck trailer, loader, and skid steer on numerous occasions for personal use, including clearing his driveway after a storm and helping a coworker move his belongings, according to the Pinedale Roundup.

In several of these instances, he brought along a county employee during business hours to fix the equipment or help. He also purchased an impact wrench and bales of insulation with county funds.
