Clark County, Nev., will spend $7.5 million on modernizing its airport fleet, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The Department of Aviation plans to purchase about 250 new vehicles over three years, and retire and auction its current fleet of 350 vehicles.

The new vans, pickup trucks, and SUVs will be used at McCarran International Airport and four other general aviation facilities in the county's airport system. These purchases will help the department catch up on vehicle replacements, which were delayed during the recession. More than 150 vehicles in the airport fleet are 10 years old or older.
