A Montgomery County, Md., fleet employee was caught stealing $13,000 in equipment and reselling it on the black market, according to WJLA.
As program specialist for Fleet Management Services, Jason White is in charge of overseeing the parts and equipment. The Montgomery County Police received an anonymous tip that White was selling county equipment on the black market, including snow plows, salt spreaders, and car batteries. Police told WJLA they followed the tip and saw White loading $13,000 worth of salt spreaders on to a truck.
White has been placed on administrative leave and will appear in district court on March 2.
