A Jersey City (N.J.) employee may face consequences after taking home a fleet vehicle, which was then stolen. In addition to violating city policy, NJ.com reported that Recreation Director Kevin Williamson left the keys in the vehicle, leaving it more susceptible to being stolen.

Although Williamson was assigned a fleet vehicle for visiting recreation sites and attending meetings, city policy prohibits most employees from taking home fleet vehicles. The case has been referred to the city's human resources for review.

Williamson started in his position last November.
