The City of San Diego and Torrey Pines Golf Course have finalized an exclusive 12-year equipment and tournament support agreement with The Toro Company and its distributor Turf Star. Torrey Pines currently uses equipment from various manufacturers, and this agreement allows it to replace all its equipment with Toro products.
The cost of the multi-year agreement is capped at $14 million. It’s too early to say how many pieces of equipment are expected to be delivered, but they will be used for both the North and South courses.
Torrey Pines is a municipal golf facility. Torrey Pines will host the 2017 Farmers Insurance Open and the U.S. Open in 2021.
