Scott County, Iowa's Board of Supervisors approved a resolution to purchase tire maintenance equipment, reports the Quad City Times. The county will purchase a new alignment machine, tire changer, and wheel balancer for its fleet of 98 vehicles.

County supervisors discussed the purchase last month, debating whether fleet is ready to in-house tire services. Scott County centralized its fleet operations earlier this year. Three supervisors voted for the purchase, one against, and one was absent.
