Part of the Lake County, Minn., Highway Department shop burned last week after a plow truck parked in a bay caught fire. Some snow plows, heavy equipment, and parts of the facility will need to be replaced. There were no employees at the time of the fire, which is still under investigation, reports the Duluth News Tribune.
According to a release from the county, shop operations have been temporarily moved to other county facilities. The county has also received additional plow trucks, loaders, and graders from a nearby city, county, and equipment rental company while Lake County's equipment is cleaned and assessed for the investigation.
