Don Moore has accepted a position as the fleet management division manager for Pinellas County, Fla. He started at the county on Nov. 7.
The Pinellas County fleet consists of 1,300 units, with one main fleet facility and four satellite locations.
Moore previously served as fleet manager at the City of Largo, Fla., where he oversaw 560 fleet units used by 11 departments, with a range of vehicles that included fire, police, sanitation, light-duty vehicles, and off-road equipment. At the city, he built strong relationships with user departments and created a foundation of customer service, increased vehicle remarketing returns by 200%, and restructured technician job descriptions to increase technician retention.
Moore has been in the public and utility fleet services industry for 28 years.
