Ross Meslin, CAFS, has been hired as the fleet manager for Broward County, Fla., replacing Dave DellaPenta, who retired. Meslin began working at the county on Sept. 13.

Meslin oversees 2,400 vehicles, three fleet facilities, and 41 staff members at Broward County. His initiatives for the fleet include reducing vehicle turnaround times, creating and implementing a vehicle replacement program, and increasing customer satisfaction.

“I am thoroughly enjoying the challenges at Broward County and am very lucky to have a dedicated, experienced, and qualified staff,” he said.

Meslin was previously the fleet services manager for Hillsborough County, Fla., where he managed the daily operations of four fleet repair facilities and 3,600 vehicles and pieces of equipment. He has been in the fleet and automotive repair industry for 20 years.
