Terex South Dakota is recalling 1,332 2001-2003 model-year XT52, XT55, and XT60 aerial devices because the lower booms may have been built with materials that can crack and fail, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported.

The aerial devices were manufactured from Jan. 1, 2001, to May 31, 2003.

Terex dealers will inspect each lower boom to verify that it was made with the correct material. Any boom made with an improper material will be replaced, free of charge.

Aerial device owners can reach Terex customer service at (800) 982-8975. Terex's recall campaign number is SN618. This recall is an expansion of an earlier one.
