A bucket truck caught fire in Livingston, N.J., due to a downed wire, which nearly injured an Essex County, N.J., Department of Public Works (DPW) employee after a spring storm, according to the local news, Tap into Livingston.

On April 4, a DPW worker went to remove debris from a tree that had fallen on an electrical wire. While about 10 feet above the ground, during the debris removal, the wire broke above him.

According to the local police, the employee received a shock from the fallen wire, which caused him to jump down and the truck to catch fire. While not seriously injured, according to local police, the DPW employee was sent for medical treatment for evaluation as a precaution.
