The New York State Office of General Services has awarded Fenton Mobility/AbiliTrax a state contract to supply agencies with handicap-accessible Ford Transit vans.

Under the contract, state agencies, local governments, public school districts, fire deparments, public libraries and other authorized organizations can purchase new Ford Transit vans equipped with wheelchair lifts, AbiliTrax flooring systems and the AbiliTrax Step N Lock seating systems.

The Ford Transit is available with a choice of three roof heights, three body heights, and three engine choices.

The AbiliTrax custom flooring platform enables vehicle owners to add and remove seats and other components, such as wheelchair restraints and stretcher mounts. Its uniform design also makes it possible to share components across the fleet.

The contract covers three consecutive years with an extension option for a fourth and fifth year. Other agencies and organizations that are interested in accessing the New York State procurement system for this contract can click here for more information.
