Enterprise Fleet Management has implemented a $100-million technology upgrade that includes greater use of tablets by sales staff and several new web-based fleet management tools.

The investment has funded Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablets for the fleet management company's North American sales team. Additionally, Enterprise Fleet has launched EFMFleetAccess, Fleet Planning Toolkit, and Auto Integrate software tools to help improve the management of vehicle assets.

EFMFleetAccess provides fleet customers with actionable information to help maximize the value of their fleet and lower their total cost of ownership.

Fleet Planning Toolkit allows the Enterprise sales team to access multiple data points such as vehicle type, mileage, age, and maintenance history to create customizable analytics for a customer's fleet. Sales associates can access the data on the new tablets.

And lastly, Auto Integrate streamlines authorizations for vehicle repairs and maintenance, reducing billing issues, and helps prevent customers from paying for unnecessary work, according to the company. The centralized portal can be accessed by the more than 70,000 auto maintenance and repair shops that partner with the company.

Enterprise Fleet Management has also tripled the size of its information technology workforce.
