Van upfitters have begun offering partitions, shelving and roof racks for the 2015 Chevrolet City Express compact van since the vehicle's introduction late last year.

Adrian Steel, Leggett & Platt CVP, Ranger Design, and Knapheide have developed specific products for the City Express, which is based on the Nissan NV200. However, many of the existing shelving units, ladder racks, and other upfitter products would also work, according to a General Motors spokeswoman.

Many of the upfits qualify for a cash allowance under GM's Business Choice program.

Adrian Steel offers a steel or wire mesh partition; the ADseries of adjustable shelving and drawer modules, floor drawers, blue bins, Loadsrite drop-down ladder rack or Grip-Lock ladder rack, and steel utility racks. Adrian Steel offers several cargo management packages for the City Express also offered for the NV200. The ADseries and HD Series trade packages include general service, telecommunications, plumbing, and electrical.

Adrian Steel also offers smaller fleets a vehicle graphics program in a partnership with Signature Graphics.

Leggett & Platt offers its City Express equipment in its Masterrack line as steel interiors including a base package, electrical contractors' package, and a plumbing/HVAC upgrade. The SmartSpace line includes modular cargo management systems with a variety of shelves, drawers, and accessories. The upfitter offers three partitions (steel, composite, and wire), window screens for the rear doors, and several ladder racks (single, street side upgrade, utility carrier, single slide-down rack, and double slide-down rack).

Ranger Design offers several its packages as base or deluxe and in steel or aluminum. The upfitter offers contractor, service, electrical and delivery packages that include shelving, partitions, and roof racks.

Sortimo by Knapheide offers its upfit products under its Exxpand brand that include five product lines, including Shelf Staxx, Boxxes, Axxessories, Protexx Partitions, and Roof Raxx.
