Kawasaki Motors Corp. U.S.A. is recalling 194 Kawasaki Concours 14 and 14ABS motorcycles modified for police use, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.

The 2009-2013 model-year motorcycles were manufactured from May 8, 2008, to Feb. 20, 2013. The additional police accessories may cause the 30-amp main fuse to blow, NHTSA said. Also, the additional police wiring harness may chafe and lead to a short that blows the main fuse. Stalling could result.

Kawasaki has notified the affected police departments and will send trained personnel to repair the motorcycles, NHTSA said. There will be no charge for this service.

Owners can reach Kawasaki customer service at (866) 802-9381. Kawasaki 's number for this recall is MC15-02. This recall is an expansion of earlier recalls (12V-134, 13V-370 and 13V-387).
