VIDEO: Knowledge Sharing Series: Lentsch of Eugene Water & Electric Board

In Government Fleet's Knowledge Sharing video series, Gary Lentsch, CAFM, fleet supervisor for Eugene Water and Electric Board (EWEB), Ore., discusses changes to the fleet management profession, technician shortage, time management when juggling multiple projects, and moving cautiously when making big changes.

Lentsch has been involved with fleet operations for more than 35 years, starting at the ground level. Some of his accomplishments include leading the fleet team to become an award-winning organization, helping the fleet to become a leader in sustainability, and obtaining NAFA's CAFM certification. He manages the EWEB fleet of 350 units, staff of seven technicians, and one maintenance facility.

Government Fleet has launched the Knowledge Sharing video series featuring veteran fleet managers sharing advice and tips for new fleet managers. This series was created to address the “graying” of the industry and to allow experienced fleet managers to pass along their industry knowledge.
