The Florida Association of Governmental Fleet Administrators (FLAGFA) recently concluded its fall conference in St. Pete Beach, Fla., with the announcement of new officers elected in July 2014.
Tim Calhoun, fleet director, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, has been elected president. Sean Williams, fleet manager, Collier County Sheriff’s Office, is now vice president. Daryl Greenlee, fleet manager, City of Orlando, serves as treasurer; and Gary McLean, fleet manager, City of Lakeland, is secretary.
Paul Starling, transit maintenance manager, City of Gainesville Regional Transit System, is the past president.
For the remainder of 2014 and into 2015, FLAGFA leadership and members will be focusing on increasing FLAGFA’s website capability to provide better utility and resources such as training, discussion forums, publications, and other products and resources.
The new board will continue the work of the past leadership with bi-annual conferences (March 25-27 Daytona Beach and September 23-25 in St. Pete Beach) where members are able to network and attend motivational keynote speaker and educational sessions. The Affiliate Expo provides an opportunity for fleet managers to look at and, in some cases, operate new innovative products.
