The Government Fleet Expo & Conference (GFX) begins today at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, Calif., with the highest attendance numbers in its history. Registration numbers show the conference has 29% higher fleet manager attendance than the prior year.

This year's show kicks off at 5 p.m. with a keynote speech by Kelly Reagan from the City of Columbus, Ohio, entitled "Establishing Vision: Seeing What Others Cannot." This is followed by an opening networking reception sponsored by CEI.

However, attendees arriving early can take advantage of a tour of the San Diego County fleet facility and attend a session on 10 innovative ideas from leading fleet managers, presented by the Municipal Equipment Maintenance Association (MEMA). Additionally, an OEM Insight Forum with Ford, GM, and Chrysler will allow attendees to learn about future innovations and advances that they can expect to see in upcoming vehicles.
