Pittsylvania County in Virginia has awarded bids to two suppliers to provide fuel for county fleet vehicles.

This action followed an audit earlier this year revealing that the county had not sought competitive bids for vehicle fuel, which violated its procurement policy, the Chatham Star Tribune reported.

Officials awarded the off-road diesel fuel contract to Foster Fuels and the over-the-road diesel, gasoline, and propane autogas contracts to Davenport Energy. According to GoDanRiver.com, the county previously purchased fuel from Davenport Energy.
