Michael Moneymaker, director of transportation services at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, passed away on March 22. He was 66.

Moneymaker had worked at the university as its transportation services director for 36 years. At the university, he oversaw 27 employees and eight student workers as well as close to 500 vehicles and a maintenance facility. For a time, he also oversaw vehicle purchasing across all the University of Tennessee campuses before those functions were handed over to the separate campuses. He was a member of the NAFA Fleet Management Association.

"He kept us running efficiently," said Ken Inman, assistant director of transportation services, who is serving as acting director. "There are going to be some big shoes to fill."
