The American Public Works Association (APWA) on Oct. 4 announced a new group of public works fleet professionals who recently earned the Certified Public Fleet Professional (CPFP) credential. The CPFP credential is for the seasoned, government public fleet manager, and for those professionals who supervise, manage, oversee, or administer fleet services within or for a public fleet entity. The APWA CPFP program has registered 104 Certified Public Fleet Professionals in North America.

The most recent Certified Public Fleet Professionals are:

  • Robert Macpherson, CPFP, Town of Whitby, Ontario, Canada
  • Vincent Olsen, CPFP, Village of Algonquin, Algonquin, Ill.
  • Robert Stine, CPFP, Hillsborough County Fleet Management, Fla.

“The purpose of APWA’s Public Fleet Professional Certification is to promote excellence in fleet management by advancing the knowledge and practice of public fleet professionals to benefit communities through quality fleet services,” APWA Executive Director Peter King said.

The Public Fleet Professional Certification computer-based testing is now available.
