The City of Kennesaw, Ga., plans to outsource its sanitation collection services after its city council approved that measure on Sept. 3. The City issued an RFP for outsourcing in May and ultimately selected Republic Services as its vendor.

Republic Services will purchase the majority of the City’s sanitation fleet, according to the City, and its trash and recycling container inventory. The City stated it also plans to conduct a job fair for its current sanitation workers who are interested in being considered for employment.
