The U.S. Energy Department (DOE) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) now have an online tool that allows users to print a fuel economy label for vehicles sold since 1984. Users can create the label via a tool on the FuelEconomy.gov website and include a digital version of it in online advertisements and affix the printed version of the label to a vehicle’s window, for example prior to sale.
The EPA noted that because a vehicle’s fuel economy doesn’t typically change over the course of a 15-year life, the EPA fuel economy estimate is still an indicator of a used vehicle’s average fuel economy.
You can find the tool on the DOE's website here.
